When a Wells Fargo office is robbed and one of Jim Hardie's friends is murdered, Hardie is doubly intent on solving the crime. With the help of an aging sheriff and a spunky boy, Jim sets a trap to lure the criminals to expose themselves.
Hardie and McCloud capture Matt Blackner, an aging outlaw who is suffering from heart disease. He agrees to turn the money he stole from a Wells Fargo stagecoach if he's allowed to visit his wife and daughter before he's thrown in prison.
