The Chicago 8 is the true story of the notorious 1968 trial that resulted when seven leaders of an anti-war movement, and a member of the Black Panthers (Bobby Seale), were charged with conspiracy to incite devastating riots in Chicago.
The film tells the story of the 1969-70 trial of the Chicago Eight (later known as the Chicago Seven), and is adapted from the trial transcripts and a play The Chicago Conspiracy Trial by Ron Sossi and Frank Condon.
