for a movie that uses the same plot mechanics as a really iffy episode of the last season of Frasier, The Closet surprisingly has a lot to say in re: to homophobia, sexuality, and careerism. at least 20% of The Closet really didn't age well, but that other 80% is a really charming comedy which constantly escalates to a sharply delivered climax.
