  4. The Halifax Three cut two albums for Epic Records during 1963, and the line-up consisted of Dennis “Denny” Doherty [born November 29th 1941], Patrick LaCroix and Richard Byrne. They met, and first sang together, at a 1960 New Year’s Party in Halifax, Nova Scotia. A couple of months later they began performing as The Colonials.
