The Human Trial was inspired by my quest to learn why there hasn't been a cure for type 1 diabetes — a disease I've struggled with for over thirty years. When I was diagnosed, I was told the cure was "five years away.” But I'm still waiting, and now dealing with the long-term complications associated with the disease. And there are many.
