The performance art duo Kipper Kids was a collaborative project by Brian Routh (1948-2018, England) and Martin von Haselberg (b. 1949, Argentina) active from approximately 1971 to 1982. Routh and von Haselberg met at East 15 Acting School in London, England, in 1970.
He is known for his performance work with Martin von Haselberg as one of The Kipper Kids who became notorious for their rowdy and rebellious performances in the art world; influencing the punk movement and the inspiration for such acts as Blue Man Group, Karen Finley and Paul McCarthy.
From the 1970s, the Kipper Kids (Harry Kipper and Harry Kipper, aka Martin Von Haselberg and the late Brian Routh) became legendary. Their dangerous, excessive and funny performance art actions were prolific in the 1970's in the UK, Europe and LA. They performed sporadically from the mid 1980's and their last public performance was in 2003.

The Kipper Kids were a duo composed of Martin Rochus Sebastian von Haselberg and Brian Routh, two artists known for the extreme and often comedic performance art they made together in the 1970s and after. Von Haselberg lives and works in New York, and Routh most recently lived in Leicester, England. From 1971, the duo were also known as Harry and Harry Kipper.
