Not only is it the middle child, but the very structure of the book makes it hard to craft a linear story with all the plot lines in tact and interesting. Peter Jackson truly outdid himself when creating the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and he fails to disappoint us in the 2nd part of the Trilogy.
