Jo Newton (Chelse Swain) has a tumultuous relationship with her father, and tries to get his attention by acting out. After an incident in his research headquarters, he sends her to a private school, where she longs to rebel against authority and school headmaster Bradeen (Lance Henriksen). To this end, she hacks into the school security system's mainframe and downloads a virus into it.
