    At this point in time, all restrooms are portable toilets. There are several throughout the park.
    Dogs are allowed at Quarry Trails Metro Park but they must remained leashed.
    The park has a carry-in, carry-out policy meaning there are no trash cans. Be prepared to carry out your trash.
    Swimming is not allowed in the lakes.
    • Mad River Mountain. Distance from Columbus: 53 miles (50 minutes) Accommodations Available: Not on-site. Ability Level: All levels. Opened in 1962, Mad River Mountain is one of Ohio’s largest ski resorts, and it’s just an hour from Columbus.
    • Clear Fork Adventure Area. Distance from Columbus: 67 miles (~1 hour) Accommodations Available: None on-site. Ability Level: All levels. Located near Mohican State Park in a beautiful area of rolling hills, Clear Fork Adventure Area is a tiny ski resort with just 9 trails across 60 acres with varying levels of difficulty.
    • Boston Mills/Brandywine. Distance from Columbus: 128 miles (~1 hr 50 min) Accommodations Available: None on-site. Ability Level: All levels. Boston Mills & Brandywine are two sister resorts, located just 1 mile from each other.
    • Alpine Valley. Distance from Columbus: 158 miles (~2 hr 15 min) Accommodations Available: None on-site. Ability Level: All levels. Located in Ohio’s snow belt, Alpine Valley gets the most natural snow out of all the resorts in Ohio.

  4. A significant side note: climbing in Ohio is still a fairly "touch and go" state. Deliberately deceiving and lying to authorities will bite you and the Ohio community when discovered otherwise. Climbing in areas deemed presently illegal by the areas vested authority damages efforts of fellow climbers who work to secure legal access.
