Aug 26, 1998 · The Professor and the Madman was much better. Simon also goes into the creation of the OED ( not as detailed) and goes into a little detail of a few helpers. He concentrates much of his writing into the lives of Dr. William C. Minor a Civil War Union surgeon and James Murray a professor. There are a few B/W illustrations.
