Wil and Amberle are kidnapped by Eretria and Cephalo while returning to the palace. But the Rovers are the least of their worries - Wil must learn how to use the Elfstones before a bloodthirsty Fury kills them all.
The Fury chasing Wil Ohmsford and Amberle Elessedil is killed by Allanon. He is gravely injured and they must take refuge in the Druid cave. Wil and Amberle reluctantly leave Alannon in search of a way to help heal the Druid, but end up being taken captive by Rovers. Cephelo, the leader of the Rovers, wants Wil to show him how to use the Elfstones ...
