Striking gold was the easy part for Alaskan miner Roy Glennister (John Wayne). The real battle is fighting off a posse of greedy, corrupt politicians. Chief among them is Alexander McNamara (Randolph Scott), a gold commissioner who says that Roy's claim is illegitimate.
