The show opens with a marching band bursting onto the set, and accompanying a hyped-up, dancing Tim in a rendition of Oscar Fever. Sporting a Decker t-shirt underneath a sports coat, Tim welcomes the viewers, and introduces Gregg as co-host. Gregg enters carrying an Oscar Special-themed cake, which he accidentally drops while holding it up to the camera. He reveals that he has invited a mystery guest for the show’s finale that will make “international headlines.” Tim then says a prayer to begin the show. He opens a bottle of “organic champagne,” which he claims is non-alcoholic, and drinks a glass.

Gregg gives his Oscar predictions, again claiming that The Hobbit (in this case, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies) was “secretly nominated” and will win Best Picture. Tim, already showing signs of inebriation, says Escape Plan was snubbed (apparently unaware it came out the previous year).

After a break, an agitated Tim vents his frustrations about technical issues and negative feedback, his rant culminating in cursing God himself. Gregg’s video tour of the Dolby Theater, site of the Oscar ceremony, is played, only to be cut short by more technical issues. Following this segment is the First Annual On Cinema Movie Awards, hosted by Kim Delgado. The award for Best Supporting Actor is awarded to Gregg for his role in Decker.

Tim welcomes and introduces comedian/impressionist Mark Proksch, who begins his first routine of the night, a tribute to Moe Howard of The Three Stooges. After the break, Gregg starts a live On Cinema On Location segment, the location being Middle Earth from The Lord of the Rings. Gregg stands in front of a green screen, but neither he nor Tim seem to comprehend how it works. Gregg, expecting to see the locations projected on the green screen itself, loses his train of thought, and Tim scolds the crew for this apparent technical glitch.

Tim shouts out the two DeckerHeads in the studio audience, and shows a trailer for Season 2 of Decker. Tim then wins the Best Actor award in the On Cinema Movie Awards. He announces that his next guest, Mike Huckabee, is a no-show, and withdraws his support. Following this, Tim sings a song to his ex-wife, Ayaka, pleading for her to call the number on the screen. He immediately receives the first of many prank calls he will get as the night goes on, to his great annoyance. He then turns it over to Mark, who impersonates Curly from The Three Stooges.

Gregg returns from the break to introduce his new chat show, On Cinema On Directors. For his first show, he interviews two film directors on set, Peyton Reed (Yes Man) and Tim Heidecker (Decker). Tim, by now solidly inebriated, derails the segment with his arrogant and irreverent behavior. When he learns that Reed has cast Gregg in his upcoming film Ant-Man, a jealous Tim storms off the set.
