    • "The Villain" is directed by former stuntman Hal Needham ("Smokey and the Bandit" and "Hooper"). Needless to say, the stunts, coordinated by Gary Combs, are pretty good, but the characters are like cartoons and the broad, burlesque humor is too simple to spoof.

    Is a villain a bad guy or an anti-villain?

    • Technically, the literary term "villain" is used to describe a character who is bad but still worse than an anti-villain (especially when it comes to their motives and how whole-heartedly they are on the bad guy side). Unfortunately, I believe this is untrue for reality as "villain" is used to describe a *bad* (and I mean *bad*) guy.
