A separate and distinct "Prophecy Theme" by composer Brian Eno makes a dreary, boring, and minimal contribution to the film. A theme for Leto and the house of Atreides in general is a noble piece heard in "Leto's Theme" and is largely short-changed in the film (usually yielding to the title theme).
And Brian Eno can claim to have "invented instruments" more than Hans Zimmer. Hell, the guy basically invented ambient music, a whole genre. A much more talented musician!) Relatedly, the lead singer for Toto from 1986-1988, and 2010-2019, and 2020 to present, is Joseph Williams, son of composer John Williams.
"Prophecy Theme" was composed for the movie by Brian Eno, who is rumored to have written and composed an entire earlier Dune soundtrack, although only "Prophecy Theme" and some incidental background music survived in the final film version.
Some cues are based on earlier drafts of the composition, written as the film was being edited. A prime example is the opening track, "The Prophecy", which is an alternative track that is unused in the final film.
