Theodore Thomson Flynn MBE FLS FZS FRS MRIA (11 October 1883 – 23 October 1968) was an Australian zoologist and marine biologist and a professor in both Tasmania and the United Kingdom. He was the father of the actor Errol Flynn.

Specimens and scientific papers. Flynn is considered to be one of the pioneers of research into the reproductive biology of marsupials and monotremes. He published an important work on the early cleavage of the monotreme egg, and was awarded a DSc in 1921 for his work on the embryology of marsupials.
Theodore Thomson Flynn (1883-1968), zoologist, and Errol Leslie Flynn (1909-1959), film actor, were father and son. Theodore was born on 11 October 1883 at Coraki, New South Wales, son of John Thompson Flynn, cordial manufacturer, and his wife Jessie, née Thomson.

In April 1909, Theodore Thomson Flynn arrived in Tasmania to become the first lecturer in the newly established department in biology at the University of Tasmania. The University itself was then nineteen years old, having been established in June 1890.
