Oct 13, 2006 · Tideland is a haunting tale of how innocence of youth deals with disturbing reality but the nature of the film’s title meaning; it’s combination of imaginative childlike fantasy and the uncaring, and often unnecessarily disgusting, twisted reality is ultimately its own downfall.
