Timothy John Lever (known as "Tim Lever") is an English musician born on May 21, 1961 in the city of Liverpool, England. He was part of Dead or Alive as a keyboardist, saxophonist and partly a guitarist.
Tim became part of Dead or Alive from 1983, just during the time when the recordings of some demos for the first studio album (Sophisticated Boom Boom) began. During the first album he was in charge of the synthesizers and the saxophone.
In 1988, unfortunately, he retired along with Mike Percy (who was also part of the band as a bass player). In the words of Pete Burns that he declared in some interviews, it was something that greatly displeased him.
After retiring with Mike Percy from Dead or Alive, they formed their own studio, and became music producers, while also creating One World Productions, which remained active throughout the 1990s.
At the peak of their success, the lineup consisted of Pete Burns (vocals), Steve Coy (drums), Mike Percy (bass), and Tim Lever (keyboards), with the core pair of Burns and Coy writing and producing for the remainder of the band's career due to Percy and Lever exiting the group in 1989.
