    Davis earned his B.A. from Furman University in 1982 and his J.D. from the University of Maryland in 1985. Davis is the former Chief of Staff for South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford. He is currently an attorney, working for Harvey & Battey.

    Charged with public intoxication

According to the police report, Davis was sitting in his parked SUV in a strip mall parking lot. Police issued sobriety tests and he failed. Davis said, "It's a mistake on my part. I'm embarrassed. Law enforcement behaved properly."
