1. Thomas Anthony Hollander ( / ˈhɒləndər /; born 25 August 1967) is a British actor who has gained success for his roles on stage and screen, winning BAFTA and two Screen Actors Guild Awards . Hollander trained with National Youth Theatre and won the Ian Charleson Award in 1992 for his performance as Witwoud in The Way of the World.
Tom Hollander was born the second child of educated parents, both teachers. He grew up in Oxford, (UK). Hollander credits the happy atmosphere of the Dragon School with his childhood introduction to acting. There, encouraged by an influential teacher named Andrew Roberts, he won the title role in "Oliver".
