Sep 23, 2014 · Absolutely loved Schumacher's The Darkest Hour. Sgt. John Henry Rossett is an interesting character. You spend the better part of the first 1/4 (almost 1/2) of the book not liking the "British Lion." 1946 - WWII Although English, Rossett settles in and works for the Nazi's. He does what he is told. He gives the tasks assigned little thought.
