The Trolley Museum of New York was started in Brooklyn, NY, in 1955 by Everett A. White when the last trolley lines in Atlantic City, New Jersey and Brooklyn were being abandoned. Besides the historic trolley and subway cars listed in the roster to the right, the Trolley Museum of New York also has collections of photographs, postcards, books and other artifacts. The highlights of these collections are often featured exhibits in our Visitors Center.
Museum Admission. Adults: $12.00. Seniors, Children ages 6-12: $10.00. First Responders, Active Military Personnel, and Veterans: $10.00. Children up to age 5: FREE. We depart from T.R. Gallo Park (at the bottom of Broadway) approximately every half hour as passenger loading permits. During special events, the trolley schedule may differ.

The museum also features numerous pieces of subway and trolley memorabilia as well as a small theater and a gift shop. Riding the trolley on the 1 1/2 mile trip was a real treat. It was open air and moved at about 5-10 MPH. The conductor was very knowledgeable about not only the trolley, but the other museum exhibits as well as the local history.
