About Tumalo Falls. At 97-feet (30 m) Tumalo falls is the tallest and one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Central Oregon area. The falls are on the snow-melt fed Tumalo Creek, which is begins high above in the Cascade Range west of Bend. There are several smaller waterfalls upstream along Tumalo Creek.

November 13, 2023 - Forest Service Road 4603 is closed for the season to motor vehicles. The road can still be used for non-motorized access to Tumalo Falls. The round-trip mileage from the gate to Tumalo Falls is approximately five miles. Fees: Recreation Fee Site: $5/vehicle/day - passes are available at site. Open Season: Summer: June-October.

A 89-foot waterfall on Tumalo Creek about 20 miles outside of Bend. The park at the base of the falls offers hiking trails, fishing, picnic areas and restrooms. Along the way to the falls are informational kiosks that make it a great trip if you want to learn about the ecology of creeks, forests and fish habitat.
