The memorial is situated at the eastern end of Daventry Holy Cross Churchyard on Abbey Street near the corner with Vicar Lane. Made from Northamptonshire stone the Cross of Sacrifice is of a similar design to that by the architect Reginald Blomfield. It is a simple cross, embossed with a sword and is mounted on an octagonal base.
