During a location shoot, model Deirdre McCluskey (Lindsay Wagner) realizes her relationship to photographer Ron (Geoffrey Horne) is over. Taking a train from Marrakech to Casablanca, she meets and grows close to drifter Evan Bonner (Peter Fonda), a principled Vietnam War deserter.
