TYPE-MOON (タイプムーン, Taipu Mūn?) is a Japanese company best known for its visual novels. It is known by the name Notes Co., Ltd. (有限会社ノーツ, Yūgen gaisha Nōtsu?) for its publishing and corporate operations.

Fate series is a TYPE-MOON media collective that follows various events called Holy Grail Wars that involve Masters, generally accomplished magi, summoning Servants, Heroic Spirits, and battling each other until the last remaining pair can claim the purported Holy Grail.
Type-Moon was founded by artist Takashi Takeuchi and writer Kinoko Nasu, who were also schoolmates. History: Originally formed as a Doujin Soft in 2000, but turn into a Commercial Organization on 30 January 2004 and at the same year, they released their PC-based eroge visual novel game, Fate Stay Night.
