Tyson Asi Alualu (/ ˌ ɑː l u ˈ ɑː l uː / AH-loo-AH-loo; born May 12, 1987) is an American football nose tackle who is a free agent. He was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft. He played college football for the California Golden Bears.

May 29, 2021 · Tyson Alualu was drafted by the Jaguars in 2010 and played for them for seven seasons. He was supposed to sign with them in 2020, but tested positive for COVID-19 and could not fly out to Jacksonville. He re-signed for two years with the Steelers, who he loves and where he has a home. He is grateful for his teammates, his family and his new contract.
The veteran defensive tackle changed his mind and decided to stay with the Steelers, according to a source. He had agreed to terms with the Jaguars in free agency, but now returns to Pittsburgh for another season.
