  5. This was a collaborative project between the CSRC, the UCLA Library, the UCLA Center for the Study of Women (CSW), and the June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives. It was funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities for 2011-2014. The project was aimed at documenting early Lesbian history in Los Angeles since the 1930s.

The CSRC is one of four ethnic studies centers established at UCLA in 1969 that are now part of the Institute of American Cultures (IAC) , which reports to the Office of the Chancellor at UCLA.
