When German agents infiltrate the telephone cable tunnels running under Southern California to tap sensitive information being transmitted over the telephone lines, George Martin, the general maintenance supervisor for the telephone company, moves to foil the spies.
Underground Agent ★★½ 1942. Probably proved more exciting during its WWII release timeframe than it will for modern sensibilities. Government agent Lee Graham (Bennett) is hired to stop enemy eavesdropping at a defense plant. He invents a scrambler that confuses the Axis and then rounds up the saboteurs. Pretty standard B fare. 70m/B VHS .
