  4. United Artists Classics was an art-house division of United Artists. Set up in 1980 by Michael Barker, Tom Bernard, and Marcie Bloom, it released foreign films and first-run reissues of United Artists films. When MGM purchased United Artists in 1981, it was preceded by MGM/UA Entertainment Co. (also referred to as "MGM/UA Classics").
