Sep 25, 2023 · R&B singer and pop artist Usher is an eight-time Grammy winner best known for his best-selling album Confessions as well as the songs “Yeah!,” “Nice & Slow,” “U Remind Me,” and “My Boo,” a duet...
May 5, 2024 · Usher (born October 14, 1978, Dallas, Texas, U.S.) is an American musician whose smooth vocals and sensual ballads helped establish him as a rhythm-and-blues superstar in the late 1990s and early 2000s. His hit singles include “You Make Me Wanna,” “Nice & Slow,” “U Remind Me,” and the rap collaboration “Yeah!”.

- U Remind Me. Usher planted his flag as an R&B scion with his eponymous debut and more mature, befitting follow-up “My Way,” but answered the call to pop superstardom with “U Remind Me,” the first single off of 2001’s “8701.”
- My Way. The title track from Usher’s 1997 sophomore album centered the singer as something of a bad boy. While lead single “You Make Me Wanna…” pointed him towards wherever his romantic inklings dictated, “My Way” did the opposite, attracting a potential love interest away from her boyfriend and laughing squarely in his face over it.
- Good Kisser. As his career unfurled, Usher started to become much less subtle, and “Good Kisser” feels like a fulcrum moment in his exploration of innuendo.
- Throwback featuring Jadakiss. At the time that Usher recorded “Throwback,” producer Just Blaze was undoubtedly in his imperial phase, coming off of helming now-institutional records for Jay-Z and Cam’Ron.
- ‘Trading Places’ (2008) This down-tempo linkup with hitmakers The-Dream and Los Da Mystro finds Usher daydreaming about romantic role reversal—from feminine chivalry to lady-led dominance in the sheets.
- ‘Moving Mountains’ (2008) The video for Usher’s 2008 single “Moving Mountains” is presented as a sequel to its deliriously horny predecessor “Love In This Club,” a conceit which works for the track at large, as well.
- ‘Scream’ (2012) Looking 4 Myself is Usher’s most experimental album, a front-to-back foray into new sounds and ideas, which allowed the artist to follow up the simmering first single “Climax” with its diametric opposite.
- ‘No Limit’ feat. Young Thug (2016) Hard II Love, from 2016, lives up to its name, but it’s got a few slam dunks across its runtime — particularly first single “No Limit.”
