The second incarnation of Viacom Inc., was an American multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate with interests primarily in film and television. It was established on December 31, 2005, as one of two companies which succeeded the original Viacom, alongside the second CBS Corporation.
The company was formed on December 4, 2019, through the merger of the second incarnations of CBS Corporation and Viacom (which were split from the original Viacom on December 31, 2005) and became ViacomCBS. The company took its current name on February 16, 2022.
