Vietnamese ( tiếng Việt) is the official language of Vietnam. Like many other languages in Asia, Vietnamese is a tonal language . Influences Vietnamese has been strongly influenced by Chinese languages,  as more than 60% of Vietnamese words were borrowed from Chinese.
