Apr 3, 2024 · Gustav Vigeland's apartment. The apartment, where Vigeland lived from 1924 until he died in 1943, is situated on the third floor of the museum. It has been restored, and appears as it did at Vigeland's time. Vigeland has designed most of the interior of the apartment, including candlesticks, lamps and textiles.

Gustav Vigeland occupies a special position among Norwegian sculptors, both in the power of his creative imagination and in his productivity. He is most associated with the Vigeland installation ( Vigelandsanlegget) in Frogner Park, Oslo.
