William Thomas Ward (born 5 May 1948 [1]) is an English musician. He was a co-founder and the original drummer for the heavy metal band Black Sabbath. Nov 26, 2012 · Bill’s speedy little drum pattern propels the song forward, all punctuated with an oddball guitar solo by Richard Ward (any relation?). While the album is loaded with great tracks, it closes with one of the best, “Along the Way”, followed by Bill’s haunting “goodbye”.
He re-emerged in 1990 with an album which i consider the third best of any solo album by the original 4 members of Sabbath, behind only Ozzy Osbourne's 'Diary of a Madman' and Tony Iommi's 'Fused'. Ozzy sings on two tracks here, and isn't the only star name making a guest appearance.
