Wedding in Blood is one of his better movies; I think he really hit his stride in the 70s with his lower budget (at least aesthetically) pulpy erotic thrillers. Chabrol really is the exact middle ground between Hitchcock and the Hollywood erotic thriller boom of the late 80s and 90s along with De Palma.
