Not a bartender, but a regular drunk at a bar(s). If I notice a shift change about to happen, I always try to offer to close out. If the bartender notes that they’re going off shift and offers me the chance to close out, I always do. But if someone closes me out without asking, I think “Go back to f——— Applebee’s” and tip accordingly.
