Diamond Lake is a natural body of water in the southern part of the U.S. state of Oregon. It lies near the junction of Oregon Route 138 and Oregon Route 230 in the Umpqua National Forest in Douglas County. It is located between Mount Bailey to the west and Mount Thielsen to the east; it is just north of Crater Lake National Park .
Sep 9, 2022 · Diamond Lake is a headwater for the North Umpqua River, fed by Lake Creek whose waterfalls blocked fish from reaching the lake. In 1912, a state game warden and two U.S. Forest Service rangers placed small North Umpqua trout in five gallon cans and stocked Diamond Lake for the first time.

Diamond Lake is located in southwest lower Michigan, in nearly the center of Cass County. It is situated southeast of the village, and county seat, Cassopolis. Four different townships intersect in its waters; Calvin, Jefferson, LaGrange, and Penn.

Jul 1, 2019 · It’s more of an oblong rectangle 3 ½ miles long by 1 ½ miles wide. Under the right conditions, it does sparkle like a diamond, but that’s not how it got its name either. Diamond Lake was named after John Diamond, a pioneer settler who first noticed the lake from atop the soon-to-be-named Diamond Peak.
