Lake Zurich is a lovely lake in a very picturesque area and as our first introduction to Switzerland and the many city lakes, it was a great first impression. Plus, the weather was perfect. The lake is lined with houses and interesting little beaches, a number of ferry stops and a lot of greenery and is a hive of boating activity.

Lake Zurich. The bent, almost banana-shaped Lake Zurich is framed on the southern side by the Albis and Zimmerberg hills and on the north by the Pfannenstiel chain of hills.
