Vanilla Sky is a film that despite its flaws – I can’t help but adore. I don’t know if when I saw it back in 2001, it was just the right time/right place but there was an allure to its ambience that really moved me. It also introduced me to the music of Sigur Ros whose ( ) album I consider my favourite ever made.

Vanilla Sky is an unfortunate pastiche that only works if you’ve never seen any other sci-fi. So, I can understand why it appealed to a lot of mainstream movie goers who don’t like the genre, but for geeks it was pastiche-y as hell.
Vanilla Sky is a very poignant and sad but good story, one of Try as I might and no matter how many times I watch it, I've never been able to understand Vanilla Sky . It's visually a beautiful film with its skyscraper shots of a pre-2000's New York City and pink-and-purple clouds, but the story itself has always been confusing to me at best.

I watched the film Vanilla Sky the other night what a fab film!! It made me cry when Penelope Cruz had left Tom Cruise as she couldnt cope with seeing him disfigured, then it all turned out to be the 'lucid dream'. Thinking about it this film it could be an insight into someone with N traits personality whatever, anybody seen it.
