At the beginning, you could find lions, wolves, sea lions or elephants in the zoo; later on, as it expanded its area, the number of animals also grew. At present, you will find a total of 5,300 animals and almost 700 species on about 60 hectares.
Oct 31, 2023 · The Prague ZOO is open every day, all year round, including Czech national holidays. The ticket offices and entry gates usually close 30-1 hr before the whole area closes. In the summer the ticket office closes at 7 pm, but you can stay inside the ZOO until 9 pm. January, February: 9 – 4 pm.

June – August. Whole week. 09.00 – 19.00. September – October. Whole week. 09.00 – 18.00. July - August: The opening hours of the Zoo are extended to 9.00 pm. (Turnstiles, ticket counters, pavilions and attractions, souvenir stores, restaurants and refreshment stands close at 7 p.m., but you can stay in the zoo until 9 p.m) Entrance fee.
