St. James is the largest Catholic church in the State of West Virginia and has a seating capacity of 1,200 persons. A total of 350,000 red bricks were used on the exterior. The brick exterior was selected to harmonize with the architecture of historic Charles Town.

The Ecclesiastical parish serves the vllage of West End, Townhill Farm, Harefield and part of the Bitterne area of Southampton. We use both traditional and contemporary styles of worship.
