Where Is Anne Frank was an initiative of the Anne Frank Fonds developed in partnership with UNESCO, the Claims Conference, the Foundation of the Memory of the Shoah, and various other organizations. The producers originally planned to shoot the movie entirely in stop motion, with the characters to be later replaced in traditional 2D animation.
