As a quick tip for you, progress on the trombone takes a lot of time and practice. You seem to be much more knowledgeable than I on music theory, so I assume trombone isn’t your first instrument, but be patient with it. You don’t need to learn double tonguing or fancy circular breathing for a while. Just get the basics down.
