Early Beginnings
William Denby "Bill" Hanna and Joseph Roland "Joe" Barbera began their partnership when they first met at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1937. In 1987, Taft Broadcasting changed its name to Great American Broadcasting (or Great American Communications).
