The present buildings largely date to a nineteenth century restoration, though parts of the north wing still date to the fifteenth century.

A very nice castle, but quite a deceiving visit. It is not worthy to go there unless you are a Flemish speaker. Guided visits are only in Flemish, indeed the guide only speaks Flemish. You can visit the castle by yourself, but there is no indication on the itinerary to do and all the panels (except two) are only in Flemish.
