A Bit of History. Wildomar is a community of old and new, more mature homes and acreages with horses and other animals mixed with more modern housing tracts. Nestled between the cities of Murrieta and Lake Elsinore, Wildomar officially became a city on July 1, 2008, at that time home to about 28,000 residents.

Mar 11, 2021 · Like most towns, Wildomar was situated on the railroad, an integral part of its economy. At least one major addition was added in 1887 to Wildomar to the southeast, by three men named Townsend, Frame, and Starbuck. This added another 50 lots to the original town. Collier and Graham had come from Keokuk, Iowa, and were Quakers.
