Wildwood is a third-ring suburb of St. Louis, located in far western St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 35,517. Wildwood is the home of the Al Foster Trail, and numerous other trails, parks, and reserves such as Rockwood and Babler State Parks.

Located on the far western side of St. Louis County, Missouri, the area of known as Wildwood was officially incorporated as a city in 1995. Two hundred years prior – and nine years before the Lewis & Clark Expedition – Americans took advantage of Spanish land grant offers to settle this area.
Wildwood Historical Society preserves the history and character of Wildwood Missouri. Our mission is to collect and present the genealogical information about the group of small towns in western St. Louis that became Wildwood, Missouri.
