William Dixon (September 25, 1850 – March 9, 1913) was an American scout and bison hunter active in the Texas Panhandle. He helped found Adobe Walls, fired a buffalo rifle shot at the Second Battle of Adobe Walls, and for his actions at the "Buffalo Wallow Fight" became one of eight civilians ever to receive the U.S. Medal of Honor.

Mar 22, 2019 · William Dixon was born in Armaugh, County Armaugh, Ireland in 1662 and died in New Castle County in 1708. He married first at the house of Roger Webb, Parish of Sego, County Armaugh, Ireland on May 4,1683, Isabel Rea, who died three years later without giving birth to any children. In 1690 he married Ann Gregg from Armaugh and had eight children.
