Synopsis. In 1840 Idaho territory, the Native American Blackfoot Siksika tribe is nearly decimated by smallpox. A white mountain man named Guthrie (Leife Erickson) encourages Blackfoot Chief Winterhawk (Michael Dante) to initiate trade with white settlers, since they have medicine that will save his people.
